Yes its an import made in Thailand and overseen by a Hawaiian Ukulele Company but its a different way of building a import line..Previously most ukulele companies see what the overseas companies are making and tweek it to be their own model....the building techniques and specs are often not to consistant standard...What Koaloha did was help build the factory...supply all the same machines and jigs that Koaloha uses to make their ukes to the factory and then send Half their staff from Hawaii to work alongside and train their Thailand counterparts. This batch that Hawaii Music Supply and TheUkulelesite have are those made with the Hawaiian Workers assisting. What comes out is Virtually a Carbon Copy KOALOHA....the only difference...Its made in Thailand but sound 100% Koaloha. Nothing else needs to be said...the sound is clear and articulate, with a brightness that has a warmth also because of the mahogany tonewood.
