If you play a square-neck resonator, then you already know that there are only a handful companies that make these fine instruments. Lots of manufacturers charge an arm and a leg for only half-way decent instruments whose resonator cones sound flat and lifeless.. and that's just not right. You know who else feels that way? Abraham Wechter. This guy's old-school, at least in the sense that he doesn't think you should have to go broke just to get an instrument that'll make you happy. Wechter's designed and built wonderful guitars for artists like John Denver, Al DiMeola, John McLaughlin, Earl Klugh, Jonas Hellborg, BB King, Rob Ickes, and thousands of us regular dudes who can't afford to take out a mortgage or skip rent just to buy a new six-string. Now he's gone and done it again, with a whole lineup of excellent resonator guitars, including the Scheerhorn Resonator Mahogany.
