As soon as Ohana ukuleles arrive in America they go through a detailed premium adjustment, ready to play.The SK-50 is a soprano solid wood uke with solid cedar top, solid rosewood back and sides, solid mahogany neck, rosewood fret board, and bone nut and saddle. Has Gotoh friction tuners that do the job nicely. Friction tuners are lighter than the gear type. This distributes more weight to the body making the uke easy to hold. The SK-50 has a beautiful matte finish and the mahogany binding looks great against the rosewood body. It has a very stylish look, very classy. The neck is sleek and smooth. It is shallow from front to back and will sit comfortable in your hands. Cedar-topped instruments are sweet sounding and just get sweeter with age. They are known for their volume and warmth.For the novice, it is a fantastic instrument. For the stage performer or recording artist, it is a can't miss. You will love the sweet, silky tone and the volume... And it will just keep getting better with age.
